It’s a new year! A new & improved you! And of course, new year resolutions that you hope to follow at least for the first few months! We’ve got some new year resolutions that we think can really spruce up your home in 2018!
Create a Routine
Your mother probably always told you this as you grew up, but having a routine is essential when it comes to the cleanliness of your home! Set a weekly cleaning routine this year by giving yourself one type of cleaning to make the process more systematic. We’re serious – it makes all the difference!
Become Energy-Efficient
Help out the Earth while also lowering your bills! Take advantage of all the smart home technology 2017 had to offer and what 2018 will offer! While it may be a higher upfront cost, the cost savings make it worthwhile!
Get Your Place Entertainment Ready
Most of us make the resolution to spend more time with our friends or family in the beginning of the year. Why don’t you make the resolution easier by making your home the life of the party? Adding plants and other small accent pieces have a special way of making your guests feel more intimate in your home. You can also rearrange the furniture to make it more conversational and less staring-at-the-TV-like. Oh, and outside decor always helps. Who doesn’t love sitting on a screened in porch on a Summer (or Winter if that’s more your thing) night?
Redecorate on a Budget
Is one of your resolutions to take up a new skill or hobby? Why not pick up on the world of DIY! DIY projects are a great way to redecorate your home on a budget! Why spend $50+ on posters from Amazon with fun sayings when you can make one yourself by purchasing some paint supplies and canvases! Not only are they cheaper, they are also unique to your home!
Pay Off Your Home Loan
One of our resolutions in the team is to learn more than we learned last year. So for this year, what are you trying to learn? Why not learn about quick ways to pay off your home loan? Having equity in your home allows you to get a leg-up when it comes time to sell or move into another home! Also, it looks great on your credit. There are plenty of learning materials out there, they are just waiting on you to read them!
